Otar Shamugia - This year, we have allocated GEL 16 million for promoting Georgian products in various strategic global markets

After the government session today, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Otar Shamugia, answered the questions posed by media representatives.

"This year, we have allocated GEL 16 million to promote the Georgian products in several strategic global markets. We will be present at dozens of exhibitions in the United States and Europe. We do everything to diversify markets. The state makes every effort to assist businesses in being represented in Europe, the United States, China, etc. It is worth noting, that we already have tangible outcomes, specifically,

Last year we exported more than 23 million liters (28%) of wine, a 28 percent increase compared to the same period of 202, and I think this is a very good indicator. This year we will improve our efforts to achieve a better result. The growth rate is also high in the USA and exceeds 28%.
Eventually, we have a considerable growth rate in all markets where we held significant marketing campaigns, including Poland, Germany, Japan, and the Baltic countries. All of this reflects the outcome of the initiatives we implement in collaboration with businesses and assist them in being represented in our key markets," said Mr. Otar Shamugia.
