Otar Shamugia: "Environmental and agricultural education is one of the most important priorities".
The candidate for the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Otar Shamugia, emphasized the importance of sectoral education at the joint session of the Agrarian Issues, Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, Sectoral Economy and Economic Policy, Regional Policy and Self-Government and Finance-Budget Committees.
"Environmental and agricultural education is one of the most important priorities for the Ministry, and we are continually striving to get young people interested in relevant professions. We are implementing the "Green and Agro Scholarships" program, which we adopted to promote deficient environmental and agricultural occupations, and we already have about 100 excellent students who have been awarded scholarships of up to GEL 1500. Moreover, we invite excellent students to internships in the Ministry's system to deepen their knowledge and provide employment opportunities," said Mr. Otar Shamugia.
