Meeting with the residents of Dedoplistskaro municipality
The representatives of the central and local authorities met with the local residents in the villages Zemo Keda, Arkhiloskari, Kvemo Keda in Dedoplistskaro municipality and got familiar with their needs and requirements.
The Deputy Minister gave a detailed account of the projects implemented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and introduced local residents with the achieved results.
“ At the meeting, local population brought forward their needs and requirements. We provided them with the agricultural development programs supported by the Ministry. It should be noted, that olive, walnut, almond orchards were planted on 399 ha in Dedoplistskaro municipality under the program “Plant the Future”; 9 units of agricultural technique will be purchased under the co-financing program. Morover, all resources should be taken into account to draw up a budget for the next year and deal with the problems facing the villages ” said the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Solomon Pavliashvili.
The Deputy Minister stated, that farmers by joining agricultural cooperatives will get the maximum benefit in the field of livestock development and milk processing.
The Governor of the region, Irakli Kadagishvili provided local population with the infrastructure projects implemented in Kakheti region and drew his attention to the effectiveness of the rural development program.
The residents of Zemo Keda, Arkhiloskari and Kvemo Keda named unregistered land, water supply related problems and electricity supply in Dilichi area as the crucial issues facing the residents of the villages.
The MPs, Dedoplistskaro Municipality Mayor and other local government officials attended the meeting.
