Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan will enhance cooperation in the production of hazelnuts

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili paid a visit to the Republic of Turkey.
During the visit, a tripartite declaration of strategic cooperation was signed between Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan. In accordance with the declaration, the three countries will cooperate more actively in the production of hazelnuts.
Moreover, hazelnut is considered as an important agricultural export product for Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan. The purpose of the trilateral cooperation format is to improve production and quality, maximize the use of scientific potential to increase productivity and ensure technical and technological cooperation.
The sides agreed to cooperate in the above mentioned field. The cooperation aims to develop hazelnut sector and increase production.
