Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Solomon Pavliashvili held a meeting with the residents of Gardabani municipality
The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Solomon Pavliashvili accompanied by the Deputy Chairman of Parliament Ilia Nakashidze, Governor of Kvemo Kartli Shota Rekhviashvili and representatives of legislative, executive and local authorities met with the local residents of Gardabani Municipality.
The meetings were conducted in the villages Martkopi, Saakadze and Sartichala, whereby, local population received a comprehensive information about state support programs and in turn, introduced government officials with their needs and requirements.
The participants discussed ongoing and planned large-scale works, which include activities to be carried out within the frame of the rural infrastructure projects, arrangement of roadways, outpatient clinics, emergency medical centers, construction and rehabilitation of educational institutions and rural development program.
Solomon Pavliashvili provided locals with the news in the fields of environment and agriculture. The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture underscored the importance of state programs, gave advice to get engaged in them and brought forward successful examples.
The participants touched on a new initiative of the government, according to which, pensioners, socially vulnerable people and people with disabilities will be able to purchase 35 types of medicines for 1 gel to treat chronic diseases.
Through joint efforts of the central and local authorities, 783 projects amounting Gel 245 117 658 will be implemented in Kvemo Kartli region this year. Among them, 110 projects are planned to be implemented in Gardabani Municipality , whereby, total costs include GEL 50,959,216.
