Solomon Pavliashvili held a visit to Turkey
The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Solomon Pavliashvili paid a working visit to Bursa, Turkey, where he met with the Heads of timber processing company "STARWOOD".
The two sides discussed steps to further deepen bilateral cooperation. Specifically, if National Forestry Agency will provide a sufficient amount of residual waste, the company "STARWOOD" will establish an enterprise in Georgia, where local residents will be employed. Some products (DSP, MDF, laminate) will be sold in the country others will be exported.
Within the frame of the visit, the Deputy Minister met with the head of the Forestry Agency in city Bursa. Forestry Agency is comprised of 761 597 hectares of forest area and 7 forest districts, annual forest growth is approximately 2,0 ml, annual production of wood equals to 1,2 kb. Solomon Pavliashvili visited nursery farm of Forestry Agency in Bursa as well.
