Government officials met with the residents of Kareli municipality

The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Giorgi Khanishvili along with the Governor of Shida Kartli region, Giorgi Khojevanishvili met residents of the villages Urbnisi, Ruisi and Bebnisi in Kareli municipality. The importance of implementing infrastructure, health, education, social protection and agricultural projects in the villages was underlined at the meeting.

The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Giorgi Khanishvili informed local population about rural and agricultural development state projects .

 The representatives of the local government drew their attention to the projects planned to be implemented in Kareli municipality and noted, that engagement of residents in the decision-making process is of utmost importance. Moreover, similar meetings with the population of different villages will allow government officials to get familiar with the needs and problems facing the villages and all above mentioned issues will be taken into consideration when creating budget for the next year.

The Deputy Minister of the Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Mamuka Tsotniashvili along with the MPs Enzela Machavariani and Shota Khabareli, Kareli Majoritarian MP Giorgi Tortladze and representatives of the local self-government attended the meeting.

The meetings included the Q &A sessions as well, whereby, representatives of central and local government gave comprehensive answers to all questions posed by the residents. The representatives of government, legislative and self-government bodies will further continue meetings with local residents in other municipalities of Shida Kartli region.
