Solomon Pavliashvili met with the local residents in Adigeni municipality

The representatives of the central and local authorities met with the population of Lelovani, Ude, Pkhero and Varkhani in Adigeni municipality and got information about their needs.

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Solomon Pavliashvili informed locals about agricultural programs and projects implemented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture. The Deputy Minister underlined the results achieved under the projects and together with the local community discussed ways how to deal with the existing problems.

“These meetings are very important to get familiar with the needs and problems facing the villages. Five livestock cooperatives created under the state programs  operate in Adigeni municipality.
We have introduced locals with the agricultural development programs implemented by the Ministry and provided opportunities to get engaged in these programs. The issues related to the arrangement of drinking water and irrigation system were identified as main needs facing by residents. We will try our best to consider needs and problems facing the residents, while planning the state budget for next year ”Solomon Pavliashvili said.

The Deputy Minister has been focused on the advantages of joining agricultural cooperatives and introduced local community with the potential of the development of dairy farming and berry cultivation in the municipality.

The residents of Lelovani, Ude, Pkhero and Varkhani identified drinking water, drainage system and internal roads related problems as the main needs.

The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia Levan Arakishvili, Majoritarian MP Giorgi Kopadze, Governor of Samtskhe-Javakheti region,  Besik Amiranashvili and representatives of the agencies under the Ministry attended the meeting.
