This year, Georgia joined the international campaign '' Clean up the World ''

On September 20-22 , Annual International Campaigns ‘’ Clean Up the World ‘’ held across the world

Since 2010, Georgia has been participating in the campaigns ‘’Clean Up the World’’ and this year joins the project "  Keep Georgia Tidy".

The large-scale clean-up action was held in the vicinity of Tbilisi Sea under the ongoing campaign aiming to protect the environment. The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Solomon Pavliashvili attended the event.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Georgia Ulrich Tidestrom, Ambassador of Estonia to Georgia, Kai Kaarelson and co-Chair of the Greens Movement of Georgia / Friends of the Earth – Georgia, Nino Chkhobadze are engaged in the above mentioned campaign.
Under the campaign " Keep Georgia Tidy ", the cleaning actions will last for three days and will cover up to 1000 locations in Georgia. The contest “Clean Region 2019” will be held within the framework of the project.
The annual International campaign - Clean Up the World, founded in 1992 by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) aims to improve local environment.
The campaign embraces representatives of government and business sectors, NGOs and citizens from a number of countries to conduct large-scale clean-up actions. More than 130 countries are involved in the campaign.
The project "Keep Georgia Tidy" is implemented by the Ministry of Environmental protection and Agriculture in cooperation with the Swedish government support, local and Swedish partner non-governmental organizations ( " Keep Georgia Tidy " (KGT) Georgian Society of Nature Explorers “Orchis”  along with the Greens Movement of Georgia / Friends of the Earth – Georgia.
