First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Giorgi Khanishvili hosted François Viel

The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Giorgi Khanishvili met with the Regional Economic Advisor in Agricultural Issues, Embassy of France,  François Ville.

At the meeting, the First Deputy Minister outlined the importance of bilateral cooperation in the fields of food safety, geographical indications of origin, protected areas and underlined the need of the exchange of experience and knowledge between the two parties.

Giorgi Khanishvili introduced François Ville with the environmental and agricultural development projects implemented by Georgian Government in the country and set focus on the importance of the DCFTA.

François Vieel stated, that Georgia is a reliable partner for France and expressed readiness to cooperate with Georgian side in sharing experience and knowledge.
The Head of the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, Tengiz Kalandadze and Head of the National Food Agency, Zurab Chekurashvili attended the event.
