Khatia Tsilosani met with the population of Dedoplistskaro Municipality
Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Khatia Tsilosani met with the population of Zemo Machkhaani, Gamarjveba and Kornabuji villages of Dedoplistskaro municipality and got acquainted with the problems and needs facing the villages.
Khatia Tsilosani provided local residents with the information about ongoing and planned projects in the fields of rural / agricultural development and environmental protection.
The key agricultural sectors include viticulture, livestock fields and cereal crops production in Dedoplistskaro municipality, therefore, questions posed by the local community mostly concerned the development of the above mentioned fields. However, local residents identified drinking water, windbreaks, irrigation of agricultural land, arrangement of internal roads and other infrastructure related problems as major needs facing the villages.
The central and local government officials noted, that overrall goal of these meetings is to identify problems facing the rural residents, basic needs of the rural community to include in the next year's budget and to gradually solve problems in rural areas.
Dedoplistskaro Majoritarian MP Irakli Shiolashvili, Deputy Governor of Kakheti Region, Givi Metreveli and representatives of local self-government attended the meetings.
The representatives of the Central and Regional Government of Georgia will further continue meetings with the rural population in other municipalities well.
