A day in the position of the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture

A pupil of Rokiti village school, Nana Labadze occupied the position of the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture for a day. The Minister, Levan Davitashvili hosted the winner of the ''Niko Ketskhoveli School Award 2019'', Nana Labadze.
The working day was started with a meeting held at the Ministry. Levan Davitashvili together with Nana Labadze heard the report on the results of the national forest inventory. According to the report, forest inventory as the systematic collection of data and forest information has already been carried out in Lagodekhi municipality, and aforementioned process is currently underway in Akhmeta.

The ''two Ministers’’ held a meeting, where aquaculture related issues, including a new draft law and regulations currently implementing by the Ministry have been discussed by participants. 
Moreover, being in the position of a ‘’Minister’’, the young guest held a visit to the Laboratory of the National Environmental Agency, where  quality of ambient air, soil and water is inspected and assessed.

Nana Labadze together with Levan Davitashvili and Head of the Agency, Andro Aslanishvili got acquainted with the latest methodologies of soil treatment and identified the determinants for ambient air and water quality.
The'' two Ministers'' also visited the Environmental Information and Education Center, where training on "Environmental Governance" is underway.
At the end of the day, Levan Davitashvili toured Nana Labadze at the National Wine Agency, where they have seen a wine cellar, enoteca and wine museum.
Levan Davitashvili introduced the guest with the wine culture, viticulture and wine making which has  8000-year-old history of continuous wine making tradition in Georgia.

“The working day included an overloaded schedule, lots of meetings. I had a close and very interesting communication with the Minister; For my part, I have provided information on the needs facing the residents of my region.

The Minister listened attentively and promised to take into consideration all vulnerable issues facing rural residents. I would like to express my gratitude to the Minister. The Wine museum was very interesting for me. However from a distance, you might think, that being a Minister is easy, but it wasn't; It is a very difficult and responsible job ”said Nana Labadze.
