Government officials to further continue meetings with the regional community

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Solomon Pavliashvili along with the representatives of local self-government and members of the Parliament of Georgia held meetings with the residents of the villages Chantliskhuri, Tivshi, Shorokhshi, Balghojiani and Mtisdziri, Kvareli municipality.

The basic needs and problems of the local residents were discussed at the meetings. The locals were mostly focused on the priority issues, including construction and rehabilitation of the internal roads and drainage channels, furthermore, problems related to the urgent need for construction of rural outpatient facilities and supply of potable water were identified as major challenges facing the residents.
The Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture provided residents with the detailed account of the projects implemented by the Ministry.

“We met the local population of Kvareli municipality and heard about their needs. The problems identified in the villages were mostly related to the drinking and irrigation water system. We will try our best to resolve these issues operatively and take them into account when planning the 2020 budget. I believe, that similar meetings will lead to a positive outcome, ”Solomon Pavliashvili said.
The Members of the Parliament of Georgia, Mikheil Khavelashvili and Guram Macharashvili, Deputy Governor of Kakheti Irakli Shioshvili, Kvareli Municipality Mayor Rostom Sesiashvili and Chairman of Sakrebulo Davit Kevkhishvili attended the meetings.
