Levan Davitashvili visited the modern grape processing plant LTD ‘’Khareba in Terjola Municipality

At the meeting, the Minister has been focused on Tskaltubo rehabilitation project and brought forward potential benefits of agri-tourism in Imereti region.

 “ The company ‘’Khareba’’ promotes  winemaking in Imereti region and appears to be an interesting place for visitors. ‘’Khareba’’ is one of the first companies  in Georgia which offered a wide range of Imeretian wines to both local and foreign visitors. The rehabilitation of Tskaltubo resort will create great development opportunities for tourism, winery field and wine tourism in Imereti region. In this context, the company ‘’Khareba’’ will host even more visitors ”Levan Davitashvili said.

With the financial support of Georgian Government, the company ‘’ Khareba’’ created a state-of-the-art plant, which will process approximately 7,000 tonnes of grapes per year, the products will be sold locally and internationally; The company employs 85 people.

The total cost of the project is GEL 12.5 million, out of which GEL 1,062,000 is preferential agro leasing.

It is noteworthy, that through Georgian Government support, under the frame of the United Agro Project’’ , 9 new enterprises were created and 86 more expanded in Imereti region .
