The results of the research presented and discussed at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture

The meeting was held at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, where participants aimed to discuss the results of a comparative study on the food quality, safety, and regulations of Georgian meat and dairy sector as well as their compliance with the US and European regulations.

 

The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Giorgi Khanishvili made an opening speech at the meeting

 

"This study is important and will help to develop regulations that will help farmers and entrepreneurs to produce competitive produce and effectively carry out farming activities" Giorgi Khanishvili said.

 

The research was conducted under the project " Safety and Quality Investment in Livestock" implemented by American organization Land O'Lakes Venture37.
The participants set focus on the main trends and recommendations of the Georgian meat and dairy sector.

 

The Deputy Minister Khatia Tsilosani, representatives of relevant agencies, departments, sectoral associations and other stakeholders attended the meeting.
