Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili hosted the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Georgia, Ulrich Tidestrom

The importance of promoting Georgian wines in the Kingdom of Sweden have been brought forward by participants. It was noted, that Georgian wine presented in the largest wine and food exhibition in Stockholm, Sweden was highly endorsed by Swedish businessmen who expressed their willingness to visit Georgia, get closely acquainted with Georgian wines and export Georgian wine to their local market.

“I am happy to see such great interest in Georgian wine. We participate in different international exhibitions to this end. Furthermore, as a ‘’homeland of wine’’  we are pleased to host our guests from the Kingdom of Sweden and enjoy active cooperation in the wine sector ”said Levan Davitashvili.


It is noteworthy, that 12 Georgian wine companies participated in the largest wine and food exhibition ‘’Stockholm Food and Wine 2019’’ in Stockholm.


About 40,000 wine professionals and consumers visit the exhibition annually, which enjoys popularity in the Scandinavian region .


The Deputy Minister Khatia Tsilosani and Chairman of National Wine Agency Levan Mekhuzla attended the meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
