Thirty employees of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia participated in the three-day training session on modern systems and methods of human resources management and organizational learning.

The training conducted under the Resettlement Policy Framework (first component of the project and sub-component 3.1) was supported by the European Union in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) within the ENPARD program.

The international company ‘’Price water house Coopers Georgia’’ was invited to conduct the training.
The participants discussed ways to attract and retain high-level professionals and outlined the role of HRM within the Ministry.

“The European Union and United Nations Development Program to support the reform in the human resources management system at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia is of utmost importance for us.  Moreover, the employees of the Ministry to learn precise skills and increase knowledge to improve performance is an integral part of our organizational activities and not a one-time activity. Our staff expects the Ministry to provide a continuous opportunities for their development and professional growth ”said the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Khatia Tsilosani.

It should be noted, that support to the organizational development of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture is a part of a broader support for Georgia's rural development, which is being implemented by the European Union in cooperation with the UNDP. The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture is the main partner , which has a  leading role in taking consolidated efforts together with the Government of Georgia on rural development related issues in close cooperation with the civil society, local people and international partners.
