Meeting with farmers held under the frame of the exhibition Agro / Food / Drink / Tech / Expo Georgia-2019
At the meeting, the First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Giorgi Khanishvili highlighted future plans and opportunities for agricultural development.
“ The best results and achievements in the agricultural sector through state support programs have been evaluated and analyzed at the meeting. We discussed the needs and challenges facing the farmers. I would like to point out, that programs planned by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture to implement by 2020 respond to the challenges facing rural areas and agricultural field in the country. We should note, that similar meetings are very important to identify needs and lead effective communication with farmers ” Giorgi Khanishvili said.
This year, the International Exhibition of Agriculture, Food Industry, Processing and Packaging Technolog1y is held for the 19th time, bringing together 100 companies from 15 countries. The exhibition presents agricultural equipment and machinery, packaging materials, greenhouse technology and equipment, as well as laboratory equipment, irrigation systems, planting and seed materials, fertilizers and pesticides, consulting services and advanced technologies.
