Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili together with the Governor of Imereti Region, Zviad Shalamberidze visited the farm of the beneficiary of state program, Anzor Mskhiladze

Under the project ‘’Plant the Future’’, Anzor Mskhiladze has planted a walnut and wild cherry gardens, a walnut on 7-ha and wild cherry on 5-ha of land areas, for which he received GEL 63,000. 

The farmer benefited from the ‘’ Agro-production Promotion’’ program as well, whereby he received a grant amounted to  37,700 GEL and purchased agricultural equipment for persimmon garden planted on 7 ha. Anzor Mskhiladze is also a beneficiary of the preferential agro-credit program.

Under the preferential agro-credit program, he received GEL 192,000 to renovate perennial gardens and purchased 30  heads of cattle. The farmer employs 10 locals on the farm and sells the produce on the domestic market.

“ State support programs enabled farmers to start and expand their production. Anzor Mskhiladze is one of those farmers who successfully cultivate and develop perennial crops under the project ‘’Plant the Future’’. I firmly believe, that large quantity of high quality Georgian products will be sold in the International, as well as local market in a few years ” said Levan Davitashvili.

Under the program ‘’ Plant the Future’’, various orchards of perennial crops were planted on 470 ha of land area in Imereti region, whereby, co-financing amounted to GEL 3,230,000. 52 entrepreneurs were engaged in the‘’ Agro-production Promotion’’ program,  whereby, state co-financing amounted to GEL 592,000.
