Georgia and China signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Khatia Tsilosani and Minister of Agriculture of Adjara, Tite Aroshidze paid an official visit to Beijing, China.
Under the visit, the representatives of Georgian and Chinese sides signed a Memorandum of cooperation in the fields of  Georgian Tea and Tobacco Sectors.

“The Free Trade Agreement signed between the Governments of Georgia and People's Republic of China, including Georgian Tea Plantation Rehabilitation Program enables business circles of  two countries to achieve a higher cooperation efficiency. The Memorandum signed between Georgia and China is another step forward in attracting foreign investment in the agricultural field and promoting export growth of Georgian products to the international market ”Khatia Tsilosani said.
The Minister of Agriculture of Adjara, Tite Aroshidze noted, that an important meeting was held in Beijing, China, where a memorandum of cooperation was signed.

"The Memorandum initiated under the ‘’China-Georgia Cooperation and Friendship Association’’, with the main goal to popularize Georgian tobacco and support the development of the tobacco sector in Adjara region aims to further promote the economic growth and improve well-being and livelihood of Georgian farmers" Tite Aroshidze said.
