The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Giorgi Khanishvili attended the workshop held under the frame of the EU funded project “ EU Innovative Action for Private Sector Competitiveness in Georgia’’.
Giorgi Khanishvili expressed gratitude to the donor organizations for their active support and contribution in the agricultural development in the country and noted, that existence of certified nurseries is of utmost importance.
At the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to the national certification system for nurseries, control mechanisms, national certification scheme and raising qualification in nurseries.
The representatives of the Agricultural Research Center and other relevant state agencies attended the meeting.
The EU funded project “ EU Innovative Action for Private Sector Competitiveness in Georgia’’ is funded by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
