Levan Davitashvili: Opening of Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Georgia will significantly enhance trade-economic cooperation between our countries

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili together with the Deputy Minister, Khatia Tsilosani held a meeting with the First Resident Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Georgia Abdullah bin Hajjaj Al-Mutairi.

At the meeting,  the sides have been focused on the issues related to the trade-economic cooperation between the two countries and making investments in Georgia.

The participants discussed an export of Georgian lamb to Saudi Arabia as well.

The Minister briefed Abdullah al-Mutair on Georgian products, especially hazelnuts, honey and blueberries and noted, that above mentioned products have a significant export potential. Attention was also paid to the prospect of cooperation in the field of ecotourism.

Levan Davitashvili noted that the opening of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Georgia will significantly contribute to the deepening of trade-economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed his willingness to actively cooperate with Georgia --a country with great agricultural development potential.
