Nino Tandilashvili participated in the events held within the OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Nino Tandilashvili participated in the events held within the frame of the OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum, whereby she brought forward implemented and ongoing reforms facilitating to establish an effective system of environmental governance in Georgia.

 

The Deputy Minister noted, that an electronic system is being developed to provide an easy access to the information on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).

 

This electronic system will serve as a public portal and will be available to the public by the end of 2020, which will make the EIA procedures even more transparent.

 

The Deputy Minister outlined the projects implemented by the Ministry to raise environmental awareness and promote education among population.

 

"A number of training programs aiming to raise awareness and increase knowledge among population were held in the previous year, I would like to note, that similar events are included in the priority list of the Ministry this year as well" - said Nino Tandilashvili.

 

The delegations and experts of OSCE member states, representatives of international and civil organizations attended the meetings held under the OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum.
