The issues related to the use of plastic and biodegradable bags to discuss at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Solomon Pavliashvili held a meeting with the representatives of the network marketing to discuss the implementation of the obligations taken under the Technical Regulation on Plastic and Biodegradable Bags ”.

 

At the meeting, Solomon Pavliashvili outlined the importance of active engagement of stakeholders in the implementation of technical regulations and set special focus on the social responsibility as a duty of every individual to maintain and protect the environment.

According to the Deputy Minister, banning the use of plastic bags is an important part of the environmental policy agenda. The Deputy asked representatives of network marketers for future cooperation.

 

The Head of the Waste and Chemicals Management Department Alverd Chankseliani, the Deputy Head of the Environmental Supervision Department, Chief State Inspector Neli Korkotadze and other representatives of the Ministry attended the meeting.
