Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili hosted the students of GIPA

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili held a meeting with the students of GIPA. 

 

I would like to express  my gratitude to GIPA for developing important training programs. On behalf of you, the environmental protection field has gained a great number of supporters and professionals both in the public and private sectors.

 

Some of the graduates of Environmental Management and Policy Masters program are now the team members of our Ministry. Cooperation in this direction, internships of your program and support of practical experience will be continued in the future as well ”said Levan Davitashvili.

 

It is noteworthy, that since 2016, at the initiative of the Ministry, the Environmental Management and Policy Master's program has been established and implemented with the support of the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA), the Ministry's Environmental Information and Education Center and German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

 

Master's program for "Environmental management and policy"  is intended for those who have already received higher education and are willing to deepen their knowledge in the area of environmental management and policy, who will successfully work both in the public and private sector in a variety of research, academic and managerial positions, whose duties and responsibilities include environmental governance issues as well.

 

At present, the employment rate of graduates is 100% and all of them are employed in the environmental field. Part of them works in various structural units of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
