Levan Davitashvili met with the Ambassador of Japan

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia, Tadaharu Uehara.The issues regarding an exhibition "Georgia – Homeland of Wine’’ to hold in the " Exhibition Center "Warehouse TERRADA" in Japan was discussed by Levan Davitashvili at the meeting. The Minister stressed the importance of  holding similar events in different countries around the world and pointed out to the exhibition- event "Georgia – ‘’ Cradle of Wine" held at Cité des Civilisations Du Vin, the World Civilization Center in Bordeaux, France.The participants drew their attention to the development of trade-economic relations between Japan and Georgia and underlined the importance of increasing wine export. According to the Minister, exhibition will play a facilitating role to strengthen cooperation between the countries in a number of directions and will further increase the interest of Japanese people towards Georgia. The exhibition ‘’ Georgia -Motherland of Wine" to hold in Japan is an excellent idea. We appreciate your oldest culture. Wine is an important part of your culture and I'm glad we  have an opportunity to host Georgia in Japan.The event will increase awareness of Georgia's culture and traditions in Japan, it will promote doing business as well, which is interesting and very important for both countries. We will make all best endevours to hold a successful event " said Tadaharu Uehara.
The Heads of the National Wine Agency and Executive Director of Association "Georgian Wine" Tina Kezeli attended the meeting held at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.Â
