Levan Davitashvili gets familiar with the food supply condition in the hypermarket ‘’Agrohub’’

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili visited the hypermarket ‘’Agrohub’’, where he got familiar with the food supply capacity and condition.

 

The Head of the ‘’Agrohub’’ network of stores, Akaki Akhvlediani provided the Minister with the comprehensive information, stating, that despite an increased demand, there is no problem with the food supply chain.

 

 “After yesterday's meeting with the Prime Minister, the number of consumers has been significantly decreased. I would like to tell all residents, that we have supplies, both imported and locally produced. I would also point out, that we have different agricultural farms in the country and the population won’t be affected by food insecurity "said Akaki Akhvlediani, Founder of ‘’AgroHub’’.

 

 Today, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili held a meeting with the representatives of large food chains, importers and distributors. At the meeting the issues related to the food supply, as well as regulation of food prices have been discussed in response to the threat posed by the coronavirus.
