The 55th International Agriculture Fair was opened

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture,  Solomon Pavliashvili attended the Ministerial meeting held under frame of the 55th International Agriculture Exhibition in Paris.
At the invitation of the Ministry of Agriculture of France, the Ministers from 40 countries attended the event.The participants were focused on the best practices in agriculture, farmers support and food safety related issues.
Solomon Pavliashvili spoke about the current situation of agriculture sector in Georgia and thanked the Government of France for its support in the implementation of agricultural projects. The Deputy drew his attention to the extension program, new challenges faced by the agrarian sector and stressed the importance of Georgia to be recognized as the "cradle of wine" in the exhibition held in Bordeaux in 2017.
The main topic of the 55th International Agriculture Fair is "Agriculture: Joint Action", which is attended by the state and private sector representatives of the agriculture and food industry from different countries of the world.
The Ambassador of Georgia to France, Ekaterine Siradze - Delone and Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of France, Gocha Javakhishvili attended the exhibition together with the Deputy Minister.
