The regional meeting was held in "Vere Palace" to discuss the project on "Criteria and indicators for sustainable forest management in Central Asia and South Caucasus". 
The representatives of Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan presented the national criteria and indicators for sustainable forest management. Furthermore, the experts of Forest Monitoring Team of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) shared their experience with the participats of the project, which will be further considered in the development of sustainable forest management systems and used to monitor forest management and provide national and international accounts.
The representatives of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and UNECE / FAO (Poland, Finland, Switzerland, Croatia, Czech Republic, Norway, Russian Federation) attended the meeting.
