Levan Davitashvili: "We make coordinated efforts to ensure smooth supply of food and other essentials in the quarantine zones "

“Food products are delivered in the country in an organized, special manner. Food operators are required to apply an additional regulations and rules in the quarantine area to prevent the possible spread of the disease. It is important to avoid delays and shortages in the supply of foodstuffs, essentials, medicines, fuel, as well as disruption of financial services in the quarantine zone.

We work in total coordination with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and all agencies responsible for maintaining public order and we make endeavors to ensure smooth supply of food and all essential household items in the region.

According to the basic safety rules, drivers should be dressed in an appropriate uniforms and regularly disinfect their driving vehicles while driving in the quarantine areas. This issue is agreed with the National Center for Disease Control and serves to avoid the risk of further spreading the disease.

We continue to work 24 hours a day. We should mention, that the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture has a special headquarter for coordination of different areas in the fight against the Covid-19.

We are in constant communication with all relevant government agencies. We have taken responsibility in a number of directions and we make coordinated efforts to work in all areas without any disruption ”said the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili.
