 The issues of strengthening the effectiveness of Georgia's protected areas have been discussed in the hotel "Tbilisi Marriott". Solomon Pavliashvili, the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture provided representatives of donor organizations with the achievements of the Agency of Protected Areas in 2017.
The participants discussed projects implemented by the Agency with the active participation of donor organizations over the years, they also brought forward future visions and ways of strengthening the cooperation. In 2017, 9 international projects were implemented in the protected areas supported by donors, ecotourism infrastructure was arranged on different territories and visitors centers were built.
The activities of the Friends Association  of Protected Areas was also summed up at the meeting. The representatives of International Donor Organizations, Diplomatic Corps and Friends Association of Protected Areas attended the meeting.
