Levan Davitashvili: "Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili is well known for his charitable acts, this is no novelty for us and his contribution in the protection of environment and nature is immense’’

One of the most important phases in our city will be restoration or reforestation of places where urban forests have been lost or degraded. I would like to express our gratitude to the Cartu Charity Foundation for supporting this project, especially, I would like to thank the Founder and Chairman of Georgian Dream party, Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili and his family for providing unprecedented financial assistance to our city by funding this project.

Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili is well known for his charitable acts, this is no novelty  for us and  his contribution in the protection of environment and nature is immense.
I would like to express my gratitude to all persons, who will be engaged in the implementation of this project. A team of patriotic people  dedicated to demonstrating professional excellence in the fields of urban forest planning, as well as implementing this project are brought together, including our Ministry with all its relevant structural units and specialists.

I believe, that we are all well aware about the importance of the urban forest project. We have been working together on this project, which will have a positive effect on the  ecosystem of the city, give a new life and make our city even more beautiful.

As we are aware, the quality of air is one of the top environmental issues affecting the city, which is largely due to the lack of vegetation. The great number of endemic species will be introduced and planted on 700 hectares in the new forest, which will change the appearance of our city on the one hand, and on the other hand will have a positive effect on the environment and quality of air.
I would like to thank the Mayor of Tbilisi City Hall for organizing and implementing this project ”said the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili.
