The agricultural land owners will be able to buy diesel fuel at a discounted price .According to the plan, Individuals and legal entities owning (0.25-100 ha or 0.6-250 acres) will be able to buy a diesel fuel cheaper than the average market price, furthermore, the reduced price will apply to a maximum amount of 150 liters.
The program aims to promote the growth of primary agricultural production, which in turn will have a positive effect on the food security and prices of products.
The program entails all individuals and legal entities owning agricultural land 0.25ha and more and registered in the National Agency of Public Registry. GEL 40 million has been allocated for fuel subsidies. About 200,000 farmers will get benefit under the state program, which will be launched on May 20, 2020.
