Support for agricultural cooperatives is one of the top priorities. Therefore, support for cooperative enterprises and agricultural cooperatives is an important direction for rural and agricultural development in the country.
State programs provide support for cooperatives, namely, they are targeted at the support of agricultural value chains and for all participants (links) in the value chain.

The state program has been launched to finance agricultural cooperatives and help them to purchase the farm equipment to produce products that meet the market demand( producers should sell their production according to the requirements). The state program will also support cooperatives in introducing international standards for food safety management and branding of products; Agricultural cooperatives participating in the state programs will be provided with accounting services as well.

Infrastructure programs have been developing to support cooperative enterprises, strengthen the capacity of farmers engaged in the production of milk products, increase their income and produce high-quality, harmless milk and dairy products. Milk processing cooperatives will be established in Akhalkalaki, Dmanisi and Dusheti municipalities.

It’s worth mentioning, that Agricultural and Rural Development Agency provides additional 10% co-financing for agricultural cooperatives under the programs.
