Giorgi Khanishvili gets familiar with the distribution of agro-cards to farmers in Gori Municipality

The First Deputy Minister accompanied by the  Director of Agricultural and Rural Development Agency, Ilia Tamarashvili and Deputy Representative of Shida Kartli Region,  Nugzar Samkharadze visited Gori Municipality, whereby,  government officials got familiar  with the distribution of agro-cards to farmers.

 

" Successful implementation of the state program to not face delays is of utmost importance to us. Under the state program, until May 20, 2021, farmers will be able to use points accrued in their agricultural cards to buy some agricultural commodities. However, before visiting the bank, farmers should avoid mass gatherings and check information on the bank's website, they need to realize, that it is very important for them to follow these rules” said Giorgi Khanishvili.

 

The Deputy Representative of Shida Kartli Region, Nugzar Samkharadze noted, that agro cards will be provided for more than 40,000 farmers in Shida Kartli region, which is an important support for them.

 

From May 20, under the state program "Stimulation for Agricultural Land Owners"
the beneficiaries of Liberty Bank will receive points, that will be accrued in their agro cards.

 

The bank will gradually distribute the agro-cards to farmers. At present, farmers can use their points to buy agricultural goods in certain agricultural stores.

 

The natural persons and legal entities need to own 0.25 to 10 ha of agricultural land areas registered in the public register to get subsidies under the program.

 

The subsidy per 1 hectare amounts to 200 GEL (200 points accrued on the agro-card).

 

The participants of the program will receive an information about accrued points, as well as actual date of receipt of the agro card on the website myliberty.ge.

 

More than 200,000 farmers will get benefits from the state program "Stimulation for Agricultural Land Owners". The budget of the program amounts to 37 million GEL.
