"According to today's data, more than 5,000 farmers got benefits from the agricultural diesel fuel program" stated Levan Davitashvili
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili declared, that from May 20, agro-diesel program developed under the anti-crisis plan is being successfully implemented across the country. Farmers get significant benefits when buying the diesel fuel. As the Minister noted, it is important to provide additional information and give a detailed explanations to residents regarding prices of agro diesel fuel to avoid certain speculations.
"According to today's data, more than 5,000 farmers got benefits from the agricultural diesel fuel program. The regional information-consulting services of our Ministry have already issued more than 2,700,000 liters of fuel coupons.
At present, the market price of fuel fluctuates from 1.90-2.06 GEL. The farmers receive a discount of up to 1 GEL in comparison to the market price while purchasing fuel at SOCAR wholesale and gas stations. Under the AgroDiesel program, the price for per liter amounts to 1.16 GEL when buying fuel at gas stations, and the fuel costs 1.07 GEL while purchasing more than 1,500 liters at wholesale stations ”said Levan Davitashvili.
According to the Minister, the agro-diesel program is one of the most important programs which will be implemented in the coming years as well.
