Khatia Tsilosani hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Georgia, Ran Gidor

The Deputy Minister of Environmental protection and Agriculture held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Georgia, Ran Gidor.

At the meeting, the sides highlighted prospects for further deepen the cooperation between the two countries.
Khatia Tsilosani declared, that Israel and Georgia have a long and fruitful cooperation. According to Ran Gidor, Georgia is an important partner for Israel. 

 

At the meeting, the Ambassador offered to provide a support for Georgian side in terms of increasing their knowledge and skills in the agricultural field and organize an online training course for the employees of the Agricultural Scientific Research Center, which will be conducted by the highly experienced specialists from Israel.

 

The participants set focus on the cooperation between the Israeli Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) and Agricultural Scientific Research Center of the Ministry,  particularly, Israeli experts will share their knowledge and experience to Georgian side to further help them in the introduction of modern technologies for growing and cultivating vegetable crops on the open ground, as well as in the greenhouses in the demonstration base of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture in the village Tsilkani.  

 

The base of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture in the village of Tsilkani includes a research and demonstration space, whereby, the planting, production / testing of autumn and spring cereal crops, vegetables and various hybrid varieties are carried out in the bio-plots.

 

The Director of the Agricultural Research Center, Levan Ujmajuridze attended the meeting held at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
