"Our country has solved the problem of Asian stink bug. The employees of the Ministry deserve our gratitude and appreciation for their works" Georgian Prime Minister, Giorgi Gakharia said, while delivering the speech at the parliament session.

" As of today, it can be said, that the problem of Asian stink bug has been solved in the country, international organizations, as well as FAO admitted, that Georgia has the best practice in the fight against the Asian pheasant stink bug" - said the Prime Minister.

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili spoke about the results and noted, that very important reforms have been implemented in the agricultural and environmental fields in 2019-2020.

"I would like to address to a number of directions mentioned in the report today. The fight against the invasive pests has been successfully accomplished in western Georgia. We have dealt with this challenge. Farmers were given the opportunity to successfully carry out agricultural activities. Growing, producing and processing of hazelnut, which has a high export potential will be successfully continued in Georgia ”said Levan Davitashvili.
