As of August 2, Georgia has exported 16,273 tons of peaches and nectarines

The peach and nectarine harvest season is in active phase. As of August 2, 16,273 tons of peaches and nectarines have been exported from Georgia, which is 6,521 tons more, than during the same period last year.

 
The top export countries of Georgian peach and nectarine are the Russian Federation (62% - 10 108 tons), the Republic of Armenia (33% - 5 323 tons) and the Republic of Azerbaijan (3% - 543 tons), including republics of Kazakhstan, Moldova, Slovenia, Ukraine and Singapore.
 
Twenty-two refrigerated warehouses are operating at full capacity to ensure the unhindered storage and sale of the crop.

The necessary documentation is being prepared and issued in accordance with the single window principle in order to facilitate the export. The representatives of phytosanitary and customs services are engaged in the process.
The working group has been established in the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agricultur, that is actively working to obtain the information and connect farmers and peach sellers.
