Exhibition "Green Week" held in Berlin

The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Nodar Kereselidze attended the opening ceremony of the "Green Week 2018" International Exhibition of Food, Agriculture and Horticulture in Berlin.
Berlin International Exhibition Green Week is one of the largest and most prestigious agricultural exhibitions in the world, traditionally held in Germany for 83 years. This year, "Green Week 2018" (Gruene Woche 2017) has more than 1600 companies participating from various countries, offering more than 100,000 food products to customers. The number of visitors to the exhibition exceeds 400 000. This year the exhibition "Green Week" partner country, along with Germany, is Bulgaria.
With the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Georgian companies are taking part in the exhibition annually.
This year, about 20 Georgian products - wine, chacha, lemonade, juice, tea, honey, jam, hazelnuts, dried fruit, spices and sauces are presented at the exhibition.
After signing the Association Agreement with the European Union, popularization of Georgian products is of particular importance to the international markets. Accordingly, Georgia presents diverse products this year.
The Chairman of the Agrarian Issues Commiteee of the Parliament of Georgia, Otar Danelia and Temporary Envoy of Georgia in the Federal Republic of Germany, Levan Diasamidze attended the exhibition in Berlin.
Under the frame of the visit to Germany, the First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Nodar Kereselidze participated in the Ministerial held within the frameof Gruene Woche 2018 along with the official delegation of the Ministries of Agriculture from more than 80 countries.
Nodar Kereselidze held meetings with the Parliamentary Secretary of State of the  Bundestag, German federal parliament, Peter Bleser, Latvian Minister of Agriculture, Jānis Dūklavs, Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus, Igor Bril and member of the Bundestag, Head of the South Caucasus Parliamentary Group.
