Enhancement of the State-supported "Plant the Future" program

In order to support farmers affected by natural disasters, the program "Plant the Future" will entail amendments and a new component.
According to the government's decision, farmers will be able to replace the seedlings damaged by hail, storm and flood in the perennial orchards under the new component of the program "Plant the Future".

To participate in the component, seedlings must be purchased from local and qualified nurseries or through seedling imports. The component will fully finance the cost of seedlings damaged by natural disasters from July 15, 2020, within the total limit of seedlings of different crops set by the program. No more than 50 hectares of damaged seedlings will be replaced.

Seedlings of any perennial crop defined within the garden component, including vines (except Rkatsiteli variety) will be financed. It is allowed to replace the damaged Rkatsiteli seedlings with other perennial crops. The co-financing will be distributed in all municipalities of Georgia, except for the following self-governing cities: Tbilisi, Rustavi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Poti.

To receive funding, a potential beneficiary must submit the program documentation to the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency (ARDA) no later than 60 calendar days after the disaster damage, including the Levan Samkharauli National Bureau of Forensics report on perennial orchards, vineyards, orchards. The cadastral code of the damaged land plot, area, number of seedlings and culture should be indicated.

The beneficiary may be a natural citizen of Georgia or an entrepreneur individual / legal entity registered in Georgia in accordance with the law (including an agricultural cooperative) registered in the register produced within the framework of the "Farm / Farmer Registration Project".
