Kicking off the "Clean up the world 2020” campaign

The "Clean up the world 2020" has been kicked off with the following message - „every small action makes a world of difference“.
For the past ten years, via joint forces of the Ministry of the Environmental protection and Agriculture and the Green Movement/Friends of the Earth-Georgia campaign, "Clean up the world "is commemorated in Georgia.

"Clean Up the World" campaign was established in 1992 by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and aims to improve the local environment. The movement embraces representatives of government and business sectors of different countries, public organizations, and citizens to conduct a wide range of cleaning activities.

More than 130 countries, including Georgia, are involved in the campaign.
This year, under the campaign, cleaning activities will be held on September 18, 19, and 20 in Georgia.
However, due to the global pandemic and the country's epidemiological situation, this year's cleaning campaigns will be held in small numbers (with up to 10 volunteers) and in different places.

Considering recommendations of the World Health Organization and state regulations, we appeal to you, who care for the environment, to aspire high responsibility and hold cleaning actions in small quantities (up to 10 people), while adhering to the safety rules.
Let's clean the places adjoining our apartments and contribute to the cause. Keep your distance - Clean up the world - Clean up Georgia!

Let's keep our country clean!
