Presentation of the Project “EU Innovative Action for Private Sector Competitiveness in Georgia”

During the discussion of the Project “EU Innovative Action for Private Sector Competitiveness in Georgia”, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr Solomon Pavliashvili elaborated on the respective initiative raising public awareness, strengthening sustainable management of ecosystems, diminishing existing wastes and empowering possibilities for recycling, facilitating waste-less technologies and fostering sustainable ecosystems.  

 

“For the purpose of effectively enforcing the new regulations, it is of utmost importance to cooperate with enterprises and provide these with technical assistance. Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture undertakes every decision after consulting with the private sector. The Ministry fosters tailoring European expertise to Georgia; thus, we will share such experience – upon implementing the respective model” – Deputy Minister Pavliashvili stated. 

 

The “EU Innovative Action for Private Sector Competitiveness in Georgia” is a joint initiative of the European Union and four UN Agencies – United Nation Development Programme (UNDP), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and International Organization for Migration (IOM).
