Minister Davitashvili: “the National Food Agency has been successful in responding to the pandemic and fostering its core activities”

We have ensured an undisrupted support to animals’ health and veterinary. Vaccination efforts have been provided throughout the year of 2020, which increases trust toward Georgia and complements trade advantages of the country.

Efforts of fighting against the stink bug are underway, which had posed tremendous obstacles years ago, similar to pandemic aftermath. The years of 2016-17-18 have been burdensome for the Ministry. We have harvested success in 2019, while 2020 being particularly important - reflected in trade indicators. More than 325, 000 hectares of land have been processed against the stink bug; 102, 000 hectares of land has been processed against pests” – Minister Davitashvili stated.
