Deputy Minister Pavliashvili joins a remote session on “A just transition to a circular economy – Employment trends and visions for the future”

A just transition to a circular economy – Employment trends and visions for the future” – has been a topic of the discussion co-organized by the Finnish Innovation Fund “Sitra” and the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) within an online World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF).


A shift to a circular economy will change job markets considerably, thus the forum dwelled on the importance of skills and employment in a circular economy.


“The circular economy acknowledges that natural resources are limited, thus production materials shall be rotational for use as lengthy as possible, through utilizing, amending, recycling, sharing and processing. While the circular economy concept’s primary focus is on modern technologies and business development. The latter also entails waste “recycling design” elaboration, replacing non-renewable materials with renewable ones and recovering natural systems” – Deputy Minister Solomon Pavliashvili stated.
