81, 2 million USD worth of hazelnut exported from Georgia by February 9

Georgia continues successful efforts for exporting hazelnut, which has already amounted into 81, 2 million USD (15, 6 K tonnes) during the period of August 1, 2020 – February 9, 2021. The export of the same period of 2019/2020 has boosted in 5, 2 tonnes (50 %), amounting an increase of 27, 7 million USD (52 %).


The vast majority of Georgian hazelnut export has reached European Union market, mainly Germany (4, 253 tonnes), Italy (3, 823  tonnes), Czech Republic (738 tonnes), Spain (445 tonnes), Lithuania (442 tonnes), France (381 tonnes), Poland (376 tonnes),  Bulgaria (345 tonnes), Latvia (128 tonnes), Greece (97 tonnes), Estonia (88 tonnes),  Slovakia (86 tonnes),  Luxembourg (84 tonnes), Belgium (44 tonnes) and Austria (22 tonnes).


Nevertheless, Georgian hazelnut has been exported to countries such as Armenia (885 tonnes),  the Russian Federation (756 tonnes), Turkey (530 tonnes),  Belarus (466 tonnes), Ukraine (300 tonnes), Brazil (186 tonnes),  Algeria (185 tonnes), Saudi Arabia (180 tonnes), Canada (146 tonnes), Switzerland (111 tonnes), Mexico (67 tonnes),  Uzbekistan (58 tonnes), Syria (50 tonnes), United Arab Emirates (44 tonnes), Jordan (38 tonnes), Great Britain (35 tonnes), Israel (32 tonnes), Iraq (24 tonnes), United Stated (19 tonnes) and etc.
