86, 1 million USD of hazelnut exported from Georgia by February 21
Georgia continues successful efforts for exporting hazelnut, which has already amounted into 86, 1 million USD (16, 5 K tonnes) during the period of August 1, 2020 – February 21, 2021. The export of the same period of 2019/2020 has boosted in 5, 7 tonnes (53 %), amounting an increase of 30, 7 million USD (55 %).The vast majority of Georgian hazelnut export has reached European Union market, mainly Germany (4, 342 tonnes), Italy (3, 927 tonnes), Czech Republic (804 tonnes), Spain (489 tonnes), Lithuania (486 tonnes), France (423 tonnes), Poland (385 tonnes), Bulgaria (367 tonnes), Latvia (128 tonnes), Greece (97 tonnes), Estonia (88 tonnes), Slovakia (86 tonnes), Luxembourg (84 tonnes), Belgium (44 tonnes), and Austria (22 tonnes).
Nevertheless, Georgian hazelnut has been exported to countries such as Armenia (930 tonnes), the Russian Federation (799 tonnes), Belarus (543 tonnes), Turkey (530 tonnes), Ukraine (354 tonnes), Saudi Arabia (223 tonnes), Canada (195 tonnes), Brazil (186 tonnes), Algeria (185 tonnes), Switzerland (131 tonnes), Uzbekistan (80 tonnes), Mexico (67 tonnes), United Arab Emirates (56 tonnes), Syria (50 tonnes), Azerbaijan (44 tonnes), Jordan (38 tonnes), Great Britain (35 tonnes), Israel (32 tonnes), Iraq (24 tonnes), United Stated (19 tonnes) and etc.
