Deputy Minister Tandilashvili met with the Asian Development Bank

Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Ms Nino Tandilashvili met with representatives of the Asian Development Bank and discussed possible cooperation with regard to global policy on climate change. 

Deputy Minister Tandilashvili stressed out successful steps undertaken toward implementation of the Paris Agreement, as well as transport sector, which serves as the main source for emissions. At the meeting, transport sector had been underlined as a priority, thus the Asian Development Bank will assist Georgia in enhancing green (eclectic) transport infrastructure; electric buses will be gradually replaced and charging infrastructure expanded.

The Chair of the Parliamentary Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, Ms Maia Bitadze attended the meeting with other representatives of Tbilisi, Rustavi municipalities and Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia.Â
