Minister Davitashvili: “Georgia is approaching its strategic objective – integration into the European Union”

“I would like to express my appreciation to a highly successful visit of the Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili to Brussels. In frames of the visit, the meetings were hosted with the European Commission, as well as the President of the European Council. The visit demonstrates Georgia’s strategic aspiration to achieve integration into the European Union. It has been stressed out that Georgia has conducted democratic elections in a competitive environment, as also set forth by the OSCE/ODIHR findings. The Council’s report stresses out Georgia’s progress toward implementation of obligations set forth within the Association and Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area Agreements. I believe that it is a celebration for the whole country, its development and progress” – Mr Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia stated within the “Ministerial Hour”.
