Minister Davitashvili: “2 billion 910 million GEL has been issued as a loan, while the State co-funding has amounted to 415 million GEL”
“Preferential credit is a universal project, which anticipates universal coverage of agriculture and food production. A total amount of 2 billion 910 million GEL has been issued as a loan, while the State co-funding has amounted to 415 million GEL for supporting a specific interest rate. The respective instrument has been tremendous, due to a complete absence of banking financing in this direction. Apart from primary production, it is crucial to provide assistance at every aspect of value chain. In most of the scenarios and for the sake of filling the capital cap in financial capacities of communities engaged into agriculture – we have launched specific and vertical interventions that anticipate grant co-funding. As a rule, 1 GEL attracts 3-4 GEL of private investments. We shall stress out that 2015 – 2021 period has resulted into creation of 103 new enterprises through grant funding” – Minister Davitashvili stated, while his address to the Parliament of Georgia.
